Elizabeth Bonduel McCourt Doe Tabor was born Elizabeth Nellis McCourt to Peter McCourt and Elizabeth Nellis in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in 1854. She married Harvey Doe, Jr. on June 27, 1877. Harvey's father had a half interest in a mine in Central City, Colorado, and the couple moved there hoping to make a living.
